Primetime
Wow. Both Lisa and I can now say we're graduates of UNC-Wilmington - as seen on TV.
Officials at UNC-Wilmington have contacted students, parents, faculty, staff and alumni about a nationally televised news segment about the murders of two students last year. University spokeswoman Mimi Cunningham says the university didn't want the community to be surprised by the show. Cunningham says school officials also wanted to make sure the community knew about the new programs and safety measures.
We're not going to bother watching the show - two murders, tragic yes but a segment on National TV? Must be a slow news week.
edit: It was just pointed out to me that ABC's Primetime site, no longer has anything about the UNCW story (Anna Nicole had nothing to do with the murders as far as I know). If you are really curious about the story you can read more about it here.

I don't see the mention of UNC-W on the link you attached - but the site is kind of cluttered. I don't watch tv news (ok, I do watch a little local news in the morning while I' m getting ready for work), but I don't mind reading a few articles of interest now & then. Can you send me a link to that particular mention?
Wow, that is a horrible story. I went to UNC-Chapel Hill, and my college boyfriend grew up in Wilmington--so we spent many a weekend down there. That is really sad.
I am a tv crime documentary junkie so I would probably love watching their show on this.
I hope the authorities never find out I got into a fight at the Ice Rink in Omaha (1953) and beat some up for calling me "four eyes." They might not allow me to enter the local rink on Sr. Citizen Night.
Tina- see the new new link.
Amy- Most people only know of Wilmington from when the Weather Channel ahs folk stationed here during huricane seaso. Small world.
Anonymous/Don- (looking up if there's any reward....)
